Challenge: Collaborating as part of Team Awesome to create a cohesive exhibition that represented the BFA Graphic Design program while reflecting the collective growth, creative process, and individual journeys of its graduating designers.
Solution: Contributed to the exhibition’s motion graphics by developing storyboards and scripts centered on five characters with Purpose, Concept, Curiosity, Form, and Perseverance. I also assisted with installation and technical testing to ensure the displays and systems operated smoothly throughout the exhibition.
Deliverables: A fully installed What Shapes Us exhibition, complete with photographic documentation of the process from early brainstorming and concept development through final installation. The project also included a completed motion graphics sequence, with my primary contribution appearing from 00:44 through the end.
Outcome: What Shapes Us is an exhibition that showcases the journey that defines us as graphic designers through the BFA Graphic Design program. Our team believes that at the beginning of our creative paths, uncertainty is inevitable; however, through purpose, concept, curiosity, form and perseverance, we all meet at our final design outcomes.
